My Personal Travel Bucket List

I’ve been blessed to find a job that allows me to travel the country– and luckily a boss that likes to travel as well– so in the past few years I have been able to mark a few destinations off my travel bucket list. I’ve been to Colorado, Yellowstone, Sedona, Niagara Falls and other places that I only dreamed about going when I was younger. Before this job I had never been west of the Mississippi River and no farther north than Cincinnati. I lived in a bubble of the Southeastern states– and had my fill of the Atlantic Ocean by the time I was 25.

Here are the places I have yet to visit. Some I will be marking off the list in the next couple of years, some I haven’t even begun to start dreaming about. But one day I will get to them all! Most of these are places in the United States. You’ll notice most of these are within the Unites States- I personally feel it’s better to explore my own country first, instead of jetting to Europe every time I want to vacation. There are so many amazing things to see right here in the States.

  1. ALASKA– this is #1 for a lot of reasons. I love snow. I HAVE TO see the Northern Lights before I die. My grandfather was stationed in Alaska during the Korean War and told me when I was growing up how beautiful it was– and how sometimes the sun never sets (I’m not sure now exactly where he was stationed but he watched radars of the Bering Straight to look for Russian ships/subs).
  2. New Orleans, LA
  3. Yosemite National Park
  4. Rosewell, NM
  5. Las Vegas, NV
  6. Mackinac Island, MI
  7. San Francisco, CA
  8. Lake Tahoe, CA
  9. Crater Lake National Park
  10. Vancouver, BC (Canada)
  11. Block Island, RI
  12. St. John, USVI
  13. Norway
  14. Ireland
  15. Banff National Park (Canada)
  16. To visit all 50 United States– I still have yet to visit Alaska, Arkansas, California, Hawaii, Nevada, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, and Utah.
  17. Voyageurs National Park
